LOGO REFINEMENT
A single cut is retained within the D, reducing visual noise and strengthening the construction of the wordmark.
Together with refined typography and spacing, this creates a more coherent and ownable identity across horizontal, stacked and reduced configurations.
For the stacked version, the alignment between the C and D has been optically adjusted to create a more balanced vertical structure, rather than relying on a strictly mechanical alignment. The configurations shown explore different levels of emphasis for the logomark: positioned after the wordmark for a more compact and understated composition, or placed alongside it at a larger scale to create a stronger visual anchor and greater brand recognition. Both retain the same core relationship between symbol and wordmark, while offering different balances between typographic presence and icon impact.
The reduced logo explores three possible relationships between the initials and the logomark. The first two follow more conventional structures, positioning the symbol before or after the CD monogram for immediate familiarity and straightforward application.
The third configuration remains the recommended option. By placing the logomark between the C and D, the symbol becomes an active connector rather than a separate supporting element. This creates a more distinctive and ownable construction, reinforces the original idea of connection, and gives the reduced mark a stronger relationship with the broader identity system.
Direction 01 — Update
The logo has been carefully adjusted rather than fundamentally redesigned, preserving the connection-based concept while strengthening its internal logic and relationship with the wider visual system.
Together, these updates create a more credible balance between technology, pharmaceutical expertise and accessibility.
The applications shown remain exploratory and are intended to demonstrate the expanded potential of the system across key touchpoints.
Derived from the logomark, the motif extends into a supporting pattern system, applied selectively rather than continuously, reinforcing connection and illustrating context where it adds value.
Brand colours are incorporated selectively through details such as gloves, caps, materials and product elements. This creates a subtle connection with the wider identity without making the photography feel artificial or overly branded.
At the end of the project, Compound Direct will receive a curated image library developed around this direction, providing a consistent and flexible resource for use across the website, presentations and future communications.
ADDITIONAL LOGO EXPLORATION
Although this route was not selected as the primary recommendation, it remains compatible with the wider identity system due to its shared visual language. It is included as an additional point of evaluation should the team feel that the clearer representation of the initials provides greater relevance or impact.
