Built for the Open
A flexible identity shaped by movement, terrain and year-round adventure.

Neue Regrade brings personality and character to headlines, giving the brand a confident, distinctive voice without feeling overly stylised. Its expressive details add energy and help key messages feel more memorable.Plus Jakarta Sans provides a stable, highly readable foundation for body copy and functional content. Together, the two typefaces create a balanced system that feels clear and flexible, while becoming increasingly ownable through consistent, on-brand use.

The Stompgear palette is built around the contrast between grounded, natural tones and brighter moments of freshness. Trail Night and Kootenay Pine create a strong, dependable base with a clear connection to forests, trails and time spent outdoors, while Campfire Clay introduces warmth and a more human, social dimension. Together, these colours give the brand an outdoor character without relying on obvious landscape clichés or feeling tied to a single activity.Canvas and Alpine Melt bring light, space and flexibility to the system. Their softer, fresher presence balances the darker core colours and allows the identity to move naturally across different seasons, environments and product categories. Rather than assigning one colour to each season, the palette works as a connected system: earthy and warm when needed, cool and fresh at other moments, while remaining recognisably Stompgear throughout the year.

Photography plays a central role in the StompGear identity. Imagery should feel atmospheric, immersive and editorial, with a strong sense of place and enough visual space for bold, direct messaging. When communication comes directly from StompGear, it should aim to feel as professional and in-context as possible, favouring wider compositions that situate the gear naturally within the outdoor environment.
Colour works alongside photography in two ways: as strong solid fields that give communication clarity and recognition, or as light typographic accents over carefully selected or subtly darkened imagery. The balance should always remain simple, confident and easy to read.

Headlines are treated as bold, compact graphic blocks. Short, direct messages are structured through scale and deliberate line breaks, creating strong visual impact without the need for additional graphic elements.
When combined with imagery, typographic blocks should work with the composition and occupy areas of natural negative space whenever possible.

The symbol can accompany bold typographic blocks as a subtle brand marker, reinforcing recognition while keeping communication simple and direct.

The star is introduced as a controlled geometric element, used with intention as part of the wider visual language rather than as a standalone signature. When applied selectively, it can add rhythm, depth and a subtle sense of discovery to communications, while remaining secondary to the core identity. Its role is to enrich certain moments of the system, not to become something the brand depends on for recognition.

Alternative Colour Palette — Energy

The StompGear palette is built around a stronger contrast between grounded, natural tones and a more energetic, high-visibility accent. Trail Night provides a deep and dependable foundation, while Beacon Lime introduces movement, optimism and a more active outdoor character. Together, they create a visual presence that feels bold and contemporary without losing its connection to the landscape.Softer supporting tones bring balance and seasonal flexibility to the system. Canvas keeps layouts open and breathable, while Glacier Mist introduces a cooler, fresher dimension and Trail Dust adds warmth and an earthy connection to the terrain. The result is a more dynamic colour system that can move naturally between trail, snow, water and warmer landscapes while giving StompGear a stronger sense of energy and recognition.

A Signal of DirectionTogether, these elements create a clear and flexible foundation for StompGear. The identity balances bold typography, a grounded but versatile colour palette, immersive outdoor imagery and a small set of distinctive graphic elements that can adapt across seasons, activities and environments.

Rather than relying on a rigid visual formula, the system is designed to build recognition through consistency of tone, composition and attitude. This gives StompGear enough structure to feel cohesive, while leaving room for the brand to grow naturally across digital communication, product, community and future applications.
