Conceived as more than a name, Odisseu reflects a practice shaped by movement, inquiry, and narrative construction. Luís began his academic path in archaeology at FLUP (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto), where an early engagement with time, temporality, and meaning deeply influenced his way of thinking. This background continues to inform his design practice, where identities are approached as layered systems rather than fixed outcomes.
Alongside archaeology, music developed as a parallel discipline. Working with rhythm, sequencing, and composition nurtured a sensitivity to structure and pacing that later translated into editorial design and brand systems. These paths eventually converged in graphic design, leading to a master’s degree in Graphic Design and Editorial Projects at FBAUP (Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto).
His practice often approaches branding as a curatorial act — orchestrating relationships between typography, image, content, and context to build coherent and expressive identities across multiple touchpoints. Editorial thinking plays a central role, not only in publications but as a methodology for structuring brands, narratives, and visual languages.
Odisseu remains an ongoing journey — a practice grounded in exploration, critical thinking, and the belief that meaningful design emerges in the space between structure and imagination.
