A design practice shaped by identity, editorial thinking & visual culture.
StompGear is a community-driven outdoor gear-sharing platform born in the East Kootenays, Canada. The brand refresh set out to strengthen its identity around a clear positioning: making outdoor adventure feel more accessible, connected and local, while building a visual language distinctive enough to grow with the platform and its community.
Direction became a central idea within the new identity. Inspired by StompGear’s own compass of values, the symbol acts as a guiding element across the visual system — suggesting navigation, movement and discovery without relying on conventional outdoor imagery. An expressive lowercase wordmark brings a more distinctive and approachable character to the brand, balancing the functional nature of the platform with the energy and personality of the experiences it enables.
